A generation estimate is the expected media charge for the settings you selected; the completed transaction is the settled charge. As checked on October 28, 2026, model settings, pricing catalog, eligible video inputs, provider usage, and rounding can change the amount. Review the editor estimate or confirmation before generating, then open Credits history → Detail afterward. Account for Agent usage separately.
Check the estimate before generating
- Video Gen shows an estimate after you choose the model, resolution, duration, and supported source inputs.
- Agent-driven video, image, or motion-graphics work can show a confirmation card before the job starts. Some actions do not show a fixed preview.
- Music, sound effects, and voice generation depend on the selected service, engine, duration or character count, and applicable pricing catalog.
Manual editing, uploads, transcription, and export do not consume credits; access to a feature can still depend on your plan. The Credits Policy is the single owner of the pricing guidance. This page explains how to check an individual job, rather than duplicating a rate table.
Record settings, catalog, and quote date
To compare two estimates, record:
- Exact model name or public model ID, task mode, output count, and quality setting.
- Resolution, dimensions when applicable, aspect ratio, and requested duration.
- Reference/source-video duration and other reference inputs. Eligible video input affects the inspected Seedance 2.0, Fast, mini, and 2.5 contracts, not just 2.5.
- Audio setting, including whether the active tool exposes a toggle. The inspected ChatCut Seedance tool enables generated audio internally and has no audio toggle.
- Pricing catalog or account cohort if known, quote date, displayed estimate, and completed charge once available. Mark an unknown catalog as unknown.
The inspected public-card source includes a legacy fallback catalog and catalog 2026-10-20. Cards show rounded estimates for the cheapest configuration. They do not establish your account’s exact model/settings quote, and multiplying a rounded one-second estimate does not produce an exact job charge. A Nano Banana 2 card estimate also does not establish a Nano Banana Pro price.
Last verified: 2026-10-28. Official-provider documentation below was saved on 2026-10-27 and reviewed with the integration sources on 2026-10-28. No authenticated production quote or completed generation was obtained for this update.
| Verified fact | Source |

Public card estimate. A rounded cheapest-configuration illustration; the legacy fallback and 2026-10-20 catalogs can differ. | ChatCut pricing |
| Model and media settings. The chosen model, resolution, duration, mode, and supported source inputs define the requested job. | AI Video Generation |
| Seedance input usage. Native pricing considers output tokens, resolution-specific tariffs, and eligible video input; provider schedules are not ChatCut credit quotes. | BytePlus pricing, Credits Policy |
| Estimate versus settlement. The editor estimate or confirmation precedes the job; provider usage and rounding can affect the settled transaction. | Credits Policy |
| Agent usage. Built-in Agent usage, host-agent allowance, and ChatCut-hosted media charges need separate accounting. | Credits Policy: Agent charges |
For a reproducible quote-check setup with a public model ID, fixed resolution, duration, references, and audio behavior, use the matched-settings example. It deliberately has no numeric total because no authenticated quote was captured. Do not turn historical development costs, an expired promotion, or a provider’s USD/CNY tariff into a current ChatCut price.
Verify the final charge
- Open the avatar menu in the top-right of the editor.
- Select Credits history.
- Open Detail.
- Compare the completed negative transaction and resulting balance with the estimate you recorded for that job.
An estimate is not the completed transaction. Provider-reported duration or input usage, actual output, and job-level rounding can change the final amount. Keep the requested settings and completed result together when checking a difference.
If generation fails, inspect the failed asset in My Assets, then check Credits history. A failure card alone does not establish that credits were deducted or refunded. Check the relevant transactions and balance, and use Workflow Failures to investigate the task.
Keep Agent usage separate from media charges
A quote for generating a clip does not include all model usage from a built-in ChatCut Agent conversation. Planning, revisions, and the context processed can add Agent usage separate from media generation.
With a Codex or Claude plugin, host reasoning uses the host’s own subscription or API allowance. ChatCut-hosted media generation uses ChatCut credits; a host’s own generation tool follows that host’s allowance. Check the active tool and its confirmation so the two services’ usage is not combined into a single assumed media price.
